Fridays Featured Fighter Phoenix Hunter

Todays featured fighter is Phoenix Hunter. Most people out there have clothes older than this kid, but at five years old he is already making a name for himself in the martial arts world.

His parents Joe and Jessica Hunter started Phoenix in the sport about a year and a half ago. Phoenix has not looked back since.

He trains out of Assult Fight Club in Mansfield OH. under instructor Ronnie Webb.

Phoenix has competed in many tournaments across the United States. Many of his matches are fought against older and bigger kids. The fact that he sometimes has to go against kids twice his age does not slow him down. Just a few weeks ago he stepped on the mat and faced an opponent 4 years his senior and defeated her with a rear naked choke.

Phoenix holds the number one spot at NAGA in several states including Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York. He ia also actively involved in Wrestling and is hoping to compete in states this weekend.

If there has ever been a kid that makes you want to root for him this is the guy. At this very moment Phoenix is in Las Vegas competing at the 2015 Olympia Catch Wrestling Championship. I don't believe this is the last time you will see Phoenix competing in Vegas. His future dreams are to step into the cage for the UFC.

Good luck Phoenix in all that you do. Hopefully one day we will be at the same tournament and I will get to shake your hand in person and tell you good job. I am just glad that I am not your age and weight!
