It was a little over a year ago on May 10, 2014 Michael "The Rooster" Taylor and I stepped in the cage at Bluegrass Brawl for our grappling match. I had just turned 12 in January and Taylor had turned 15.
The match was set up for a ten minute round or two submissions. Anyone that has ever done any grappling knows that ten minutes of continues rolling is a long match. We shake hands and the match begins. Within the first few minutes of the match Taylor executed several nice slams.

With thirty seconds left in the ten minute match I was able to lock in a rear naked choke and get a submission tap.

It was a long ten minutes. I walked away that day with my hand raised, but I gained something more important than a win, I gained a friend. Since our match at Bluegrass Brawl Michael "The Rooster" Taylor has continued his training and has become a force to be reckoned with.
Taylor is from Lexington K.Y and trains at Four Seasons MMA. He is a 2 stripe white belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He is currently 1-0 in his kickboxing carreer. His next match is on June 13, 2015 in Indiana. He is someone that you want to keep your eye on. He is going to go far in this sport. Keep up the good work Michael.
