The Man Who Turned To Rock

People all over the world are going to extreme measures to change their appereance. I understand wanting to look your best, but what happened to doing it naturally?

Just this week the news released an article about a 25 year old man that has been injecting himself with a oil/alcohol mixture to increase the size of his muscles. According to The Huffington Post Romario dos Santos Alves from Caldas Novas, Brazil wanted to resemble The Incredible Hulk, and that desire almost cost him both of his arms.

After injecting himself for three years his biceps measured in at 25 inches. The negative to having 25 inch biceps acheived by injecting the mixture was he had basically turned his muscles to rock. Along with the damage that he had done to his muscles they discovered that his kidneys were heavily damaged also.

Luckily for Alves the Doctors were able to save his arms by extracting all of the hardend muscles.

I saw pictures of Alves before he started the injections, he was in good shape. With a lot of hard work he could have acheived his goals of looking like The Hulk. Instead he took the easy way, and is now paying for it in the long run.

Good old hard work pays off. Alves stated that he wants to get back into bodybuilding now that this ordeal is behind him. I wish the best to him and would love to see pictures of what he can achieve on his own without injecting.
