Sensei Koshin Shimasaki Judo Master, Role Model, and Friend

Every once in a while in life you meet someone that truly amazes you. For me that is Sensei Koshin Shimasaki.

I have only known Sensei for a few short months, but he inspires me every day. Sensei Koshin is 54 years old and there is not a person in the dojo that can match his technique. He is a true martial artist. He was born in Kyoto, Japan, and at a very young age began his journey in Judo.

It is a great honor to have someone as experienced, and knowledgable as Sensei Koshin guiding me on my journey with Judo.

There are some young people that do not have a single role model to look up to. I am very lucky, because I have many. As you follow this blog you will get to meet some of the people that inspire me.

Thank you Sensei Koshin for being my teacher, role model, but mostly for taking the time to become my friend.
