As a teenager who attends school in 2015, I can tell you first - hand that bullying in schools takes place everyday. It's not the bullying that some adults remember, it's much worse. According to Ambassadors 4 Kids Club website:

1 out of 4 kids are Bullied.

77% of students are bullied mentally, verbally, & physically. Cyberbullying statistics are rapidly approaching similar numbers, with 43% experiencing cyberbullying.

Of the 77% of students that said they had been bullied, 14% of those who were bullied said they experienced severe (bad) reactions to the abuse.

1 in 5 students admit to being a bully, or doing some "Bullying."

Each day 160,000 students miss school for fear of being bullied.

43% of kids fear harassment in the bathroom at school.

100,000 students carry a gun to school.

28% of youths who carry weapons have witnessed violence at home.

282,000 students are physically attacked in secondary schools each month.

More youth violence occurs on school grounds as opposed to on the way to school.

Playground school bullying statistics - Every 7 minutes a child is bullied. Adult intervention - 4%. Peer intervention - 11%. No intervention - 85%.

Going to school or even turning on their computer can be terrifying for some children. Everyday I witness just how cruel teenagers can be, and what impact it has on the ones being bullied. I have heard people say that they don't want to live anymore, I have seen people come to school with cuts they have inflicted upon themselves, I have seen the pain in peers eyes when they walk down the halls at school. It has to stop. We are the next generation, the ones that will one day have children of our own. What we don't change now our children will have to deal with in

the future. If you know someone out there who is being bullied, take the time to be a friend to them. You could be saving someone's life with nothing more than the time it takes you to say " How is your day, are you doing okay?" Sometimes all it takes is for one person to take a stand for others to follow. Don't let me stand alone, stand with me and let's stop the bullying!
